Bhubaneswar: Ahead of the commencement of the Budget Session of the Odisha Assembly on March 25, Covid-19 test of legislators, journalists and Assembly staff has been scheduled to be conducted to March 23 and 24, informed Speaker Surjya Narayan Patro.
Speaking to reporters here today Patro said that in view of elections to urban local bodies on March 24 many of the legislators and ministers would remain in their constituencies for campaigning and casting of votes, accordingly intimation has been issued to Collectors and CDMOs to get RT-PCR test of legislators and Ministers done between March 20 to 22 and send their reports to the Assembly.
“Those who would not have got them tested or their reports would not have arrived will undergo the test at the Assembly on March 25,” informed Patro.
The Speaker said that Chief Minister, Ministers, Opposition leader and others can attend via video conferencing from their offices if they so desire.
