CPI To Contest 1 Lok Sabha, 5-8 Assembly Seats In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: The Communist Party of India (CPI), an I.N.D.I.A.  alliance partner will contest from 1 Lok Sabha and 5-8 Assembly seats in the upcoming General and Assembly elections in Odisha.

The CPI will contest from Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha seat and not Aska, informed senior CPI leader Ram Krushna Panda after a meeting of the I.N.D.I.A.  alliance held at the Congress Bhawan here today.

Panda said that in addition to the Jagatsinghpur Lok Sabha seat his party would contest from 5-8 Assembly seats.

Notably, in the 2019 General Elections Panda contested from the Aska Lok Sabha seat as a Congress-Left Parties alliance candidate though unsuccessfully.
