Bhubaneswar: Odisha Works Minister Prithviraj Harichandan today directed the Managing Director of OBCC (Odisha Bridge & Construction Corporation Limited) to conduct a high-level inquiry into the accident occurred at SCB Medical College expansion site which left three labourers injured.
The Minister asked the OBCC MD to submit a report after completing the investigation.
Harichandan also discussed the matter with workers and officials present on the work site.
He met the injured workers at the SCB Medical College and Hospital and wished them a speedy recovery. He directed the SCB authorities to provide quality treatment. During his visit, local BJP leaders Nayan Kishore Mohanty, Lalatendu Budu, Sikandar Alli along with OBCC MD J. K. Das, SCB Superintendent were present.
A crane broke down at a construction site on the premises of the premier hospital in which three labourers were injured.
The labourers have been admitted to the Casualty Department of the hospital.
The injured labourers have been identified as Mubarak Ansari, Bandhu Behera and Bansidhar. While Mubarak Ansari hails from Bihar, Bandhu Behera and Bansidhar are from Odisha.
