Crocodile Allegedly Killed, Eaten By Villagers In Malkangiri

Malkangiri: A crocodile has been allegedly killed and eaten by villagers in Kaladapalli under Podia block of Malkangiri district, photos of which are doing rounds on the internet.

Reportedly, after some villagers spotted a crocodile in the Saberi River yesterday, they captured in and tied it up and began the brutality by allegedly cutting off the fingers of the ten-foot-long reptile.

It has also been alleged that many people cut the crocodile’s throat and ate its meat. On getting information, the DFO has launched a probe into the matter and has ensured to take stringent action against the culprits.
