Bhubaneswar: Kendrapara district has witnessed an alarming rise in crocodile attacks which claimed 22 lives in the past five years.
Forest and Environment Minister Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia made this statement in the State Legislative Assembly on Tuesday while responding to a question raised by BJD MLA Pratap Keshari Deb.
The attacks occurred in the Brahmani, Baitarani, and Kharasrota rivers between 2019-20 and 2023-24, informed the Minister.
