Rajnagar (Kendrapara): A woman is feared dead after she was dragged into a pond by a crocodile at Hatiagadi village in Chandibaunsamula panchayat under Rajnagar block in Kendrapara district today.
According to reports, while the woman was cleaning utensils in the pond she was dragged into the water by a crocodile and was taken to the nearby Charadia nullah.
In a similar incident on June 14, a minor boy from Nimpur village under Pattamundai block of Kendrapara district was killed after being dragged by a crocodile.
Crocodiles attacking people in Rajnagar area of Pattamundai block has off late become rampant.
