Bhubaneswar: In a shocking incident, the body of CRPF jawan was found hanging from a tree near Ghasian village in Bolangir district on Sunday.
Ganeshram Bhoi, who was on leave, had gone missing since Friday, and his body was discovered in the early hours of the day.
The villagers were the first to spot the body, which was found in an isolated area. The police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of death, with suspicions of either suicide or foul play. The family members have raised concerns about footmarks near the body, suggesting possible murder.
The deceased jawan had left his mobile phone at home on Friday and was untraceable until his body was found. The police have sought the assistance of the forensic team from Bolangir to aid in the investigation. A post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death.
