Curfew In Balasore Extended Till Friday Mid-Night With Six-Hour Relaxation

Bhubaneswar: The curfew in Balasore municipality has been extended till Friday mid-night with a six-hour relaxation for the public from 6 AM to 12 noon.

All the commercial establishments will remain open during the relaxation period for the public to purchase essential commodities and food items.

Curfew in the areas under Balasore municipality has been extended till 21.06.2024 midnight with relaxation for general public from 6am to 12 noon to meet their daily needs. During this period all commercial establishments/routine services are allowed to operate. pic.twitter.com/O4u3A80BF7

Schools, Anganwadi centres and colleges will remain closed during the curfew period within the area under the Municipality.

No person is allowed to move or travel or roam in public places during the curfew period.

The internet will remain suspended for 48 hours.

The curfew was imposed in the municipality area following a violent clash between two communities over allegations of cow slaughter during a religious celebration of a minority community.
