Curtains Down At 4th Edition Of SICC Olympics 2020

Bhubaneswar: Director of Administration of the SAI International Group, Arabinda Das, and General Manager Communications, Sarat Kar, brought the curtains down at the 4th edition of SICC Olympics 2020 with the felicitation of winners on Saturday.

The Champion (Girls’) Trophy was carried away by Preetisha Mohapatra of B.Com Final Year whereas Champion (Boys’) Trophy was bagged by Suyash Mohapatra of B.Com Second Year.

The SICC Olympics 2020 had commenced in the SAI International College of Commerce & Economics (SICC) premise on the chilling morning of Friday with Founder & Mentor of SAI International Education Group, Dr Bijaya Kumar Sahoo, as the Chief Guest.

Dr Sahoo inaugurated the event and declared it open by hoisting the SICC Olympics Flag. He witnessed the March Past by the students of first, second and third year of both B. Com and BBA.

       

The event commenced in the sports field of the SICC campus on a euphoric note. The March Past was followed by the spectacular torch rally where the champions of 2019 led the flame of sportsmanship.

Finally, the Oath taking ceremony was conducted followed by various track and field events such as Discus Throw, Long Jump, High Jump, Short-put, 200m race, 400m race, 600m race, Relay Race and Tug-of-war for both boys’ and girls’.

Speaking on the occasion Dr Sahoo enlisted the benefits of sports and spirit of sportsmanship and how sports teach resilience in people. He said that youth energy is integral for holistic development and sports is one thing that energizes the body, mind and soul.  With sports comes self discipline, spirit of oneness, strength and stamina.
