Bhubaneswar: The 3-day OTDC Raja Mahotsav 2022 at Saheed Nagar Durga Puja Mandap culminated today evening.
The Mahotsav conceptualised and executed by Odisha Tourism Development Corporation (OTDC) and the Department of Tourism was a huge success, marking a new chapter in Raja festival celebrations in Odisha.
Cultural performances by Devanshi Dance Academy, Binapani Kalaniketan and Guru Gyanendra Sahu & Group enthralled the audience on the closing day. Singer Pami Mishra crooned Sambalpuri and Odia hit numbers on the occasion.
Minister for Tourism & Culture Aswini Kumar Patra attended the closing day of the Mahotsav as chief guest.
The 3-day event drew huge crowds on all days of the Mahotsav. Traditional Pithas and Odia food served by OTDC at Panthanivas, Nimantran, Odisha State Museum, Saheed Nagar Puja Mandap and also through Pitha on Wheels sold like hot cakes and was loved by one and all.
The Pitha Stalls set up by OTDC garnered a business of more than Rs 10 lakh in the three days of sale.
Taking forward the tradition of Raja celebrations, OTDC organised Mahotsavs in all 18 Panthanivas locations across the state, for the first time this year.
Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das, Corporator Rajkishore Das, Additional Secretary Tourism Durga Prasad Mohapatra and other senior officials of the Tourism Department & OTDC were also present on the occasion.
