Cuttack: 524 Booked For Violating Social Distancing Norms In 24 Hrs

Bhubaneswar:    Even as the five-day complete shutdown declared by the Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) is in force in the Silver City till the midnight of July 10, violations with regard to not maintaining social distancing and not using of face masks by the citizens continue to bother the police.

The Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Cuttack has informed that during enforcement measures to contain COVID-19 pandemic, 524 persons were booked for violating social distancing norms while 235 others were charged for violating mask-wearing guidelines in Cuttack within the last 24 hours.

The violators were booked under the provisions of Odisha Urban Police Act (OUPA), the DCP Cuttack informed on its official Twitter page today.
