Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday conducted simultaneous raids on the houses and property of Pravat Kumar Rout, Assistant Engineer, Dampada Block in Cuttack on the allegation of acquisition of disproportionate assets.
Simultaneous house searches are being conducted by Odisha Vigilance led by 4 DSPs, 10 Inspectors, and other staff on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Cuttack at the following places.
1) Residential triple-storyed building of Rout located at Plot no-749/2690, Kunheipada, Baranga, Cuttack.
2) House of Rout at his native village at Taneipada, Rajkanika, Kendrapara.
3) Office Room of Rout located at Block Office, Dampada, Cuttack.
4) Residential house of his brother Arun Kumar Rout at Housing Board Colony, Choudwar, Cuttack.
During house searches so far, the following assets have been unearthed in the name of Rout and his family members;
1) One triple-storeyed building located at Kunheipada, Baranga, Cuttack worth approx Rs. 1.25 Crore.
2) 4 plots including 3 plots in the prime area of Bhubaneswar & Cuttack and 1 in Rajkanika, Kendrapara.
Details as under;
i) One plot vide No. 4846/12433 at mouza Pandara, Bhubaneswar.
ii) One plot vide No.749/2690 at mauza Kunheipada, Baranga, Cuttack.
iii) One plot at mouza Choudwar, Cuttack.
iv) One plot No. 457/168 at mouza Gobindapur, Rajkanika, Kendrapada.
The measurement and valuation/assessment of the plots is being carried out by Vigilance Technical Wing.
3) Bank & Insurance deposits about Rs.45 Lakhs.
4) Gold jewellery 300 gms & silver 378 gms.
5) One four-wheeler i-20 Asta Car bearing Regd. No. OD-05-AZ-5052 worth Rs.11,17,900/-.
6) 2 two-wheelers.
