Cuttack: Jagatpur police have arrested an accused today and recovered 30 cartons of eggs from Bhadrak area. The pick-up van used in the crime has also been seized.
As per reports, complainant Abdul Razak had filed an FIR with Jagatpur Police Station (PS) on November 6 that his egg shop had been thieved and 160 cartons of egg looted. Registering the case, the police began investigation and caught hold of accused Pramod Behera alias Kabula. He confessed and informed that he had sold the eggs in Bhadrak area.
Since such incidents of theft and robbery are being reported frequently, Jagatpur police, under the Twin City Commissionerate Police, have stepped up their patrolling as well as investigation to bust the gang and racket active.
