Cuttack: The Sadar police here on Monday have arrested three persons on charges of an armed robbery which was conducted in December, 2019.
The accused were identified as Subha Narayan Chatoi of Sumandi, Prabhu Kalyan Swain of Usuma and Rahul Kumar Chhatoi of Pradhan Sahi, all under Cuttack Sadar police limits.
The incident took place on December 26, 2019, when one Satyabrata Jena was returning from Cuttack to Nimapara with cash of Rs 4 lakh.
According to the police, Jena and his associate were attacked by four unidentified persons with sharp weapons and looted. The police initiated an investigation and was able to arrest the accused involved in the case.
Cash of Rs 40,000, a pulsar motorcycle, four mobile phones and a sharp weapon have been seized from the possession of the accused. They have been sent to judicial custody.
