Cuttack: A court in Cuttack on Tuesday granted permission to the Karnataka Police to take accused Raja Sahani on a seven-day remand in connection with a ₹20 crore jewellery robbery case.
The remand was approved by the Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court, allowing the police to take Sahani into custody from April 9 to April 15 for detailed interrogation.
According to sources, a case has been registered against Sahani in Karnataka in connection with the high-value robbery. A team of Karnataka Police has already camped in Cuttack to facilitate the transfer and further investigation.
Officials said the custodial interrogation is expected to help unravel key aspects of the ₹20 crore jewellery heist, including the modus operandi and possible involvement of other accused.
Further investigation is underway.
