Cuttack Cyber Police Bust Exam Paper Leak Racket, 4 Arrested

Cuttack: Cuttack Cyber Police busted a racket in sale of school exam question papers through online platforms and arrested people, including four YouTubers and a government school teacher, in connection with the crime.

The arrested have been identified as Jyotiranjan Barik, Sushant Kumar Bishi, Sahil Kumar Mishra, Saishankar Patra, and a government teacher from Rairangpur in Mayurbhanj district Ghanshyam Beura,.

According to the police, the accused were selling leaked question papers for school-level exams for Classes 8 to 10 through digital platforms.

The crime came to light after Odisha Secondary School Teachers’ Association (OSTA) secretary Ranjan Kumar Dash detected that question papers were leaked during the school exams. He had lodged a formal complaint in this connection at the Cuttack Cyber Police Station in November 2024.

Acting on the basis of the complaint, the Cyber police launched an investigation into the matter and identified the accuseds. Police said further investigations are on to find if more people are part of the racket.
