Bhubaneswar: Acting on allegations of possessing disproportionate assets by Bikash Chandra Bhuyan, Assistant Engineer, Sadar Block, Cuttack, Odisha Vigilance sleuths launched simultaneous searches at Bhuyan’s residence. The searches are being undertaken on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, in Cuttack.
Searches are being conducted at Bhuyan’s native village, office location, etc. Details of locations are as follows:
- Residential house located at Soubhagya Nagar in Bhubaneswar.
- A house at the native village at Lehenga under Narsinghpur police limits in Cuttack district.
- A house belonging to Bhuyan’s relative at Chakeisihani in Bhubaneswar.
- Bhuyan’s office chamber at Sadar Block in Cuttack.
Three teams of Odisha Vigilance comprising three DSPs, four Inspectors, and other staff are conducting the searches.
The searches are in progress and details are awaited.
