Cuttack: With just a few days left for the celebration of Christmas, preparations for the annual festival have begun with great energy and enthusiasm in millennium city Cuttack as it will be celebrated after a gap of two years due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to some historians, Christian missionaries started their activities in Cuttack in 1822. Christmas was first celebrated at the Church of Ephiphany in the Cantonment area of Cuttack. Now, preparations for the festival are in full swing at various churches in the city.
Temporary shops have been set up in some parts of the city for the Christmas festival. Santa Claus dolls and outfits, Christmas trees, and various decoration items are being sold at these shops. As the Christmas season draws nearer, there is more excitement among Christians.
