Cuttack Govt Offices To Remain Open Tomorrow Due To Heavy Rain; Staff Asked To Remain Present

Bhubaneswar: In view of heavy rain and the expected waterlogging situation in low-lying areas, Cuttack district administration has cancelled leaves of all government employees tomorrow.

All the government offices will remain open, and staff have been asked to remain present in the office, despite it being the fourth Saturday when offices are usually closed. The administration took this precautionary measure to meet any possible eventuality due to heavy rain predicted by the India Meteorological Department.

Heavy rain is expected in several Odisha districts, including Cuttack, due to a depression over coastal West Bengal that has intensified and moved west-northwestwards at a speed of 22 kmph, currently centred over Gangetic West Bengal. The system is expected to move west-northwestwards across Gangetic West Bengal, North Odisha, Jharkhand, and north Chhattisgarh over the next 24 hours
