Cuttack: The autopsy report of Cuttack Special POCSO Court judge Subash Kumar Bihari has attributed his death to asphyxia due to hanging, according to Markat Nagar police sources.
Markat Nagar police sources further said that it has been mentioned in the autopsy report that his neck had several ligature marks.
On September 2, Bihari was found in hanging condition in his official quarters at CDA Sector-9. Bihari had allegedly died by suicide after hanging himself from the ceiling fan hook when there was no one in the house.
On the other hand, Bihari’s mother, cousins and other relatives alleged that Bihari had not died by suicide but rather was murdered.
They had alleged that Bihari’s wife Aparajita and his brother-in-law had orchestrated the act in such a manner that it would appear like that of a suicide.
They had lodged a complaint at the Markat Nagar police station in this regard. Following the allegation, police interrogated Bihari’s wife, his brother-in-law and some of his staff.
Cuttack DCP Pinak Mishra has informed, investigation is underway even after the autopsy report has been made available to the police.
