Cuttack: Silver City-Cuttack has entered the Guinness Book of World Records.
Participating in a paper boat making initiative organized by Cuttack Municipal Corporation (CMC) on the sidelines of historic Balijatra, 2,121 students from 22 schools scripted history by making over 23,000 paper boats in 35 minutes.
The feat has found a place in the Guinness Book of World Records by breaking the earlier record of 1304.
Cuttack Mayor Subash Singh, Cuttack Collector Bhabani Shankar Chayani among other senior officials were present during the paper boat making initiative.
The event was monitored and supervised by 50 officials of the Guinness Book of World Records. A jury member of the Guinness Book of World Records from London was also present during the event.
The event was organized at the Barabati Stadium.
The official team of the Guinness Book of World Records arrived in the city on November 10.
Students from almost all schools in the city took part in the event.
This record has been created with each participant making more than 20 paper boats each.
