Bhubaneswar: Nayagarh Police have discovered the remains of Shailendra Jena of Cuttack who was missing over the last few days. Jena was allegedly murdered by one Dipu Sahu as the former was involved in an illicit affair with his wife Sunita, the police said.
Jena was from Cuttack’s Mahantipada area while Dipu is a native of Nuagaon area in Nayagarh district. As per reports, after finding about their relationship accused Dipu plotted the murder. On December 3, Sunita invited Jena to her house in Mahipur.
Jena was murdered by Dipu, his father and one of his friend. Later, they torched the body in a drain and threw away the body remains in the nearby pond, the police said. Dipu and Sunita have been arrested and another accused is on the run, Nayagarh SP Alekha Chandra Pahi said.
