Bhubaneswar: A total of Rs 1. 38 crore has been defrauded by cyber looters in the state capital in the month of July this year, informed police. More than Rs 30.38 lakh has been frozen and returned to the victims, said DCP Prateek Singh.
In the month of June, the cyber frauds have looted Rs 1.6 crore while Rs 5.36 lakh have been recovered.
A total of 368 calls were received in the month of July, out of which 148 UPI fraud complaints have been lodged. Meanwhile, 71 credit and debit card-related complaints have been lodged, the DCP said.
