Bhubaneswar: A cyclonic storm is likely to form over westcentral and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal by October 24. However, it will spare Odisha and is likely to make landfall near West Bengal – Bangladesh coasts on October 25, informed the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
As per the weather agency, the Low Pressure Area formed today is very likely to move west-northwestwards and concentrate into a Depression over eastcentral and adjoining Southeast Bay of Bengal around October 22 and into a deep depression on October 23.
Subsequently, it is very likely to recurve northwards and intensify into a cyclonic storm over westcentral and adjoining eastcentral Bay of Bengal by October 24. Thereafter, it is likely to move gradually north-northeastwards & reach near West Bengal – Bangladesh coasts on October 25 skirting Odisha coast.
