Cyclone Montha Alert: Odisha Govt Issues Warning For Paradip, Fishermen Advised To Stay Ashore

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has issued an alert for Paradip in Odisha due to the impending cyclonic storm Montha.

The fisheries department and police have warned fishermen to exercise caution and not venture into the sea.

Warnings have been issued in areas such as Neheru Bangala Fishing Harbour, Atharabanki, and Shandakuda through miking. People in Nua Bazaar and Chaumuhani areas have also been warned through miking.

Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till October 29. Those already at sea are urged to return to shore immediately.

On the other hand, the district administration has taken necessary precautions and is working to ensure the safety of people in the affected areas.

The state government has also shown preparedness to tackle the cyclone and has held a high-level meeting to discuss disaster management.
