Cuttack: A principal associate of infamous Dhalasamant Brothers (D-Brothers) and his sons-in-law were arrested by Commissionerate Police on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday within 24 hours of their hurling bombs on the house of one Sulochana Parida at Bhutia Sahi in Dagarapada under Lalbag Police Station in Cuttack city.
As per a complaint lodged by Sulochana, Hadia alias Prakash Behera, and his two sons-in-law Subham alias Partha Sarathi Das and Chandan alias Sunil Behera had hurled bombs on her house at around 12.30 PM on Wednesday with an intention to kill her and her family members due to their acute previous grudge and enmity.
At that time she was standing at her door step and other family members were inside the house. So they narrowly escaped and saved their life as the dangerous explosives hit to the outer wall of the house, producing heavy sound and smoke at the spot.
Out of the four bombs thrown, three exploded and one remained unexploded. The accused persons, thereafter, escaped from the spot after giving life threat to her family.
Based on her complaint, a case was registered at Lalbag Police Station and during investigation of the case the trio was arrested . It was also found that Hadia is involved in around 21 cases registered at different police stations in the millennium city.
Police have seized one live bomb, remnants of exploded bombs, one broken cemented bricks-piece of the wall of the complainant and two mobile phones. All the accused persons were forwarded to the court today. The investigation of the case is under progress and the source of procurement of the bombs is under verification.
