Bhubaneswar: The Odisha Vigilance Directorate has unearthed substantial assets belonging to Susanta Kumar Sethy, Junior Engineer (JE) at the Roads and Buildings (R&B) department in Khariar, Nuapada district.
The search operations were launched against Sethy in Bhubaneswar, Puri, and Nuapada on charges of accumulating disproportionate assets.
The assets discovered during search operations linked to Sethy and his family members include:
- A 6,500 sqft triple-storeyed building located at Plot No. 10, Gangotri Nagar, Lingipur, Bhubaneswar
- A 1,500 sqft under-construction building at Plot No. 10/3920, Gangotri Nagar, Lingipur, Bhubaneswar
- A farmhouse spread over 1 acre at Plot No. 749, Bilipada, Pipili, Puri district
- Nine high-value plots in Bhubaneswar, Pipili (Puri), and Rayagada town
- Two costly four-wheelers, including one benami Maruti Brezza car (under verification) and 1 KIA Carens
- Five two-wheelers
- Bank deposits and investments in mutual funds are being ascertained
The measurement and valuation of the buildings, the farmhouse, and the plots are being carried out by the Vigilance Technical Wing.
