Bhubaneswar: Odisha Vigilance has launched simultaneous searches at four locations linked to Rajendra Kumar Samantray, Forest Range Officer of Rahama Forest Range in Jagatsinghpur, on charges of possessing disproportionate assets.
The locations being searched include a residential triple-storeyed building at Chatara, Jagatsinghpur; a double-storeyed building at his native village, Samantarayapur, PO-Dondo, Jagatsinghpur; his office at Forest Range, Sampur, Jagatsinghpur under Cuttack Forest Division; and a government quarter located in the campus of Jagatsinghpur Forest Range.
The searches are being conducted by a team led by two additional ASPs, 5 DSPs, 8 Inspectors, and other supporting officers, with search warrants issued by the Special Vigilance Judge in Cuttack.
