Dacoits Loot Rs 21 Lakh From Two At Gunpoint In Subarnapur

Subarnapur: A gang of six armed dacoits looted Rs 21 lakh from two persons at gunpoint near Baghalpur village under Dharmashala police outpost limits in Subarnapur district today.

Reportedly, the two persons identified as Sudhansu Pradhan and Sunil Maharana were on their way to the ATM at Ulunda on two motorcycles to deposit Rs 21 lakh after withdrawing the same from Bank of Baroda, Subarnapur were waylaid near Baghalpur village by six dacoits who came on three motorcycles.

The armed dacoits first hit Sudhanshu’s motorcycle following which he fell down, later they looted the two bags containing the money from Sudhanshu and Sunil at gunpoint.

Sudhansu has lodged a complaint at the Dharmashala police outpost in this regard. The dacoits had left behind a motorcycle at the crime spot which has been seized by the police.

Further investigation by police in the matter is underway.
