Bhubaneswar: The daily COVID-19 cases tally in the State crossed 1000-mark on Friday with 1,043 samples collected yesterday testing positive for coronavirus.
Odisha’s COVID test positivity rate (TPR) surged to 5.6% on Friday.
Among the fresh positives, 609 are in quarantine while 434 are local contact cases. As many as 100 of the affected are below 18 years old.
Khurda reported a maximum 335 cases, while the active COVID cases in Odisha rose 4,825.
