Bhubaneswar: Daringbadi, known as Kashmir of Odisha, is experiencing a cold wave, with temperatures continuously decreasing over the past few days. The temperature has dropped from 15°C on November 1 to 11°C today, November 9, making it the lowest in the state.
The cold weather has attracted tourists, with many visiting the area to enjoy the winter climate. Locals have changed to winter clothes, and shops selling winter wear have opened. Youth groups are taking advantage of the weather, going for morning walks and exercise.
According to the Regional Meteorological Center, the minimum night temperature is expected to drop further. Phulbani and Koraput are predicted to reach 12°C, while Sundargarh, Rourkela, Keonjhargarh, Angul, and Dhenkanal are expected to reach 16°C.
The temperature readings are as follows: Phulbani is at 14°C, Koraput at 15.4°C, Rourkela at 16.2°C, Jharsuguda and Keonjhar at 16.8°C, Dhenkanal at 17°C, Angul at 17.8°C, Nabarangpur at 18.5°C, and Sundergarh at 18.6°C. Bhubaneswar and Cuttack are also experiencing a decline in night temperature.
