Puri: Darshan of Lord Jagannath and his siblings Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra in Puri’s Srimandir will be prohibited between 5.00 pm and 9.00 pm on Wednesday after the second Vogamandap Vog as Shri Vigrahaman Bunkalagi Nitti will be performed in the inner sanctum of the temple.
On the occasion of Chaitra-Shukla Pratipada Tithi, the Holy Trinity will be adorned with natural colours made from hingula (black) and harital (white).
Though the darshan of the deities will be closed, devotees will be allowed to enter the temple premises.
It is worth mentioning here that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee will visit the temple today to offer her prayers to Lord Jagannath and his siblings Devi Subhadra and Lord Balabhadra.
