Bhubaneswar: The day temperature will continue to rise above the normal by 2°C to 4°C at many places in Odisha during the next five days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) Regional Centre, Bhubaneswar, forecast on Monday.
Although there was no major change in both maximum temperature (day temperature) and minimum temperature (night temperature) in the last 24 hours, the Maximum temperature (day temperature) is likely to rise gradually rise by 2°C to 4°C during the next five at many places in Odisha,” the IMD bulletin forecast on Monday.
Bhubaneswar and neighbouring areas will mainly experience clear sky becoming partly cloudy sky towards the afternoon/evening. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be around 35°C and 21°C respectively in and around the capital city, the bulletin said.
Meanwhile, dry weather prevailed over the districts of Odisha and dense fog occurred at one place over the district of Bhadrak in north coastal Odisha. Shallow to moderate fog occurred at one or two places over the districts Jagatsinghpur and Ganjam in coastal Odisha.
The minimum temperatures observed no major change over the districts of Odisha. They were above normal at many places over the districts of Interior Odisha, at a few places over the districts of coastal Odisha, below normal at one or two places over the districts of interior Odisha and normal at many places over the districts of coastal Odisha, at a few places over the districts of interior Odisha.
The highest maximum temperature of 37.5°C was recorded at Malkangiri and Boudh and the lowest minimum temperature of 13.5°C was recorded at Phulbani in the plains of Odisha.
