Bhubaneswar: Armed miscreants looted jewellery worth Rs 18 lakh from a house in Jagannath Vihar at Jharpada here on Friday afternoon.
The incident occurred in the house of a railway employee Abinash Sahoo. According to sources, Sahoo was in the ground floor when the miscreants barged into the second floor of the building and decamped with gold jewellery.
Sahoo has reported the matter of daylight burglary to Laxmi Sagar police which showed up at the spot and initiated a probe.
