Bhubaneswar: A meeting chaired by Development Commissioner-cum-Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg today discussed the annual action plan and strategies for making the governance process more effective, simple, and focused on expeditious delivery.
Senior officers of the Planning & Convergence Department attended the meeting, where timelines for preparing the Annual Action Plan for FY 2025-26 were discussed. The plan pertains to Local Area and Regional Development Schemes, including MP-LADS, MLA-LADS, KBK Bikas Yojana, and Kandhamal & Gajapati Bikas Yojana.
The meeting also deliberated on strengthening the governance system and making the monitoring mechanism for District Mineral Foundation (DMF) more robust. The officers discussed strategies to overhaul existing processes, eliminate redundancies, and simplify governance to enhance efficiency.
The outcomes of the meeting are expected to lead to significant improvements in the state’s planning machinery, resulting in enhanced convergence and more effective governance.
