**Bhubaneswar: ** With the deaths of three more persons in the vector-borne disease on Friday, swine flu toll in Odisha has now risen to eight till the reports last came in.
As per the reports, while a swine flu-afflicted person succumbed to treatment at Burla-based Veer Surendra Sai Institute of Medical Science and Research (VIMSAR), two swine flu-affected patients also on Friday succumbed to treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack city.
The VIMSAR swine flu deceased reportedly hailed from Burdel village in Bargarh district.
As per latest update from Cuttack SCB, one more swine flu patient succumbed to treatment. With this death, the swine flu death toll figure of SCB rises to three.
As many as 96 people have been tested positive for the H1N1 virus in the State out of which five affected had died.
On Wednesday, even two doctors were tested positive for the virus.
Swab samples of a doctor working at the Orthopaedic department in Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar and a junior doctor of SCB, Cuttack, were found positive for the vector-borne disease following which all medical staffs, especially in the wards, are now being vaccinated.
