Bhubaneswar: The mutilated bodies of a young couple who have gone missing for the last 10 days were found lying under a bridge at Atharanga village under Begunia police limits, on Tuesday.
The deceased boy was from Botalama village under Atharanga panchayat while the deceased girl was from Lathipada village under Hirapur panchayat.
Meanwhile, family members of both the deceased alleged miscreants killed them and dumped their bodies.
According to sources, locals on Wednesday evening spotted the bodies lying under the bridge and informed police who rushed to the spot immediately and sent them for post-mortem.
It is learnt that the deceased young girl’s parents had filed a missing complaint with Begunia police a few days back.
A scientific team has been pressed into service to collect clues about the miscreants who committed the gruesome crime.
A manhunt has been launched for killers. Besides, an investigation is underway to ascertain the reason behind the killing, source said.
