Bhubaneswar: The deep depression over coastal Odisha moved northwestwards with a speed of 22 kmph during past 6 hours and lay centered over interior Odisha near latitude 20.8°N and longitude 85.1°E close to Angul, about 100 km northwest of Bhubaneswar (Odisha), 140 km east-southeast of Sambalpur, 330 km east-southeast of Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) and 360 km east of Raipur (Chhattisgarh) at 5.30 PM on Monday, according to a press communiqué issued by the India Meteorological Department.
It is very likely to move west-northwestwards across interior Odisha and weaken gradually into a Depression by midnight of today. Thereafter, it is very likely to continue to move west-northwestwards across North Chhattisgarh and weaken into a well marked low pressure area around evening of Tuesday, the press communique added.
