Bhubaneswar: The deep depression over south Odisha moved north-northwestwards with a speed of 10 kmph during past six hours and weakened into a depression, informed the India Meteorological Department.
According to the latest information provided by the regional weather centre, depression over interior Odisha has weakened and is expected to move north-northwestwards across the region, gradually weakening into a well-marked low-pressure area over the next 12 hours.
“As of 5:30 am today, the depression was centered near latitude 20.2°N and longitude 84.1°E, approximately 40 km south-southwest of Phulbani, 100 km east-northeast of Bhawanipatna, 140 km south of Sambalpur, and 190 km south of Jharsuguda”, read the IMD release.
