Berhampur: K. Deepika of the city, sitting outside her lover’s house, demanding the right of a wife and identity for her son, has found a strong evidence. The DNA sampling report went in favour of Deepika.

In the DNA report, it has been proved that Dinesh is the father of Deepika’s son. After receiving this DNA report yesterday, Deepika has continued her agitation with its copy in front of Dinesh’s house.

Dinesh was arrested in 2021, following Deepika’s allegations of rape against him. The samples of the woman, her child and Dinesh were sent for DNA test to verify if Deepika’s claim was true.

In response to Deepika’s request, a certified copy of the report was provided to Deepika on Thursday by the Berhampur Town Police. However, Dinesh’s family has not yet accepted Deepika.

A chargesheet has been filed in the court by the police. In addition to this, the trial of the case is also going on in court of law while Dinesh is on the bail from Orissa High Court.

Deepika has also filed another case to get Dinesh’s bail rejected. Similarly, another case of Deepika for maintenance is pending in the family court. The police will provide all the information as per the court’s request, the police said.

“All possible steps are being taken by the police as per the law. Therefore, Deepika’s sitting in the verandah of Dinesh’s house is illegal, and she should leave and trust the law,” said Berhampur SP, Dr. Saravana Vivek M.
