Sundergarh: Dengue cases are on a rise in Sundergarh district with at least 114 dengue cases reported till Thursday.
Total 99 cases were reported in Rourkela and 15 cases are from nearby areas. Of the 99 cases in Rourkela, 37 are non-locals, reports stated.
Chief District Medical & Public Health Officer (CDM & PHO), Dr SK Mishra said positivity and daily infection rates is less compared to last year.
“ASHA workers are going from door-to-door to create awareness on the issue. We have RGH Rourkela and DHH Sundergarh for treating dengue patients,” Dr Mishra said.
“Rourkela Muncipal Corporation is supporting us immensely in our efforts to control dengue spread. We are confident that by October the situation will be fully under control,” he added.
