Bhubaneswar: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued orange and yellow warnings for very dense fog in several districts of Odisha, with conditions expected to prevail till January 7, 2025.
As per the IMD’s mid-day weather bulletin, an orange warning has been issued for very dense fog at isolated places in Jajpur and Nayagarh districts on January 5 and 6. During the same period, a yellow warning has been sounded for dense fog in Puri, Khurda, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Kendrapara, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Kandhamal, Sundargarh and Gajapati districts.
Additionally, the IMD has issued a yellow warning for dense fog at isolated locations in Kendrapara, Jajpur, Cuttack, Puri, Jagatsinghpur, Sundargarh, Khurda, Nayagarh, Ganjam and Gajapati districts on January 7.
The IMD also urged residents to remain cautious and take necessary precautions.
