Bhubaneswar: Dense fog is likely to engulf one or two places over six districts in Odisha on Tuesday, according to the prediction of the India Meteorological Department.
Districts likely to be affected by dense fog are Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Koraput. These districts have been issued yellow warnings.
“Dense to very dense fog very likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Koraput”, read the IMD forecast for January 7.
IMD also predicted shallow to moderate fog to occur at one or two places over the districts of Khurda, Angul, Gajapati, Ganjam, Rayagada, Jagatsinghpur, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jajpur, Keonjhar and Malkangiri on January 7.
As per IMD’s forecast for January 8, dense fog is very likely to affect Sundargarh, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Kalahandi, Kandhamal and Koraput districts.

However, dry weather will continue to prevail over the districts of Odisha till January 12.
