Bhubaneswar: Odisha received an average rainfall of 23.8 mm in the last 24 hours, while the average rainfall recorded from September 1 to 15 is 213.7 mm against the September monthly average of 231.9 mm
According to the regional center of the India Meteorological Department (IMD) here, Deogaon block in Bolangir district recorded the highest rainfall of 193.0 mm in the state during the last 24 hours.
Six blocks in the state recorded more than 100 mm during the period. These six blocks include Deogaon (193.0 mm), Gudvella (125.6 mm) and Bolangir (112.0 mm) in Balangir district; Gaisilet (105.0 mm) in Bargarh district; Karlamunda (110.0 mm) and Narla (108.0 mm) in Kalahandi district.
