Depression Over Bangladesh Weakens, North-East Odisha To Receive Rainfall

Bhubaneswar: The depression over central Bangladesh neighbourhood moved north-northeastwards, weakened into a well-marked low pressure and lay centred over the same region at 5.30 AM today. There are extremely low chances of cyclogenesis, said morning bulletin from the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD).

The districts of Balasore, Bhadrak, Kendrapada, Jagatsinghpur and Jajpur districts are likely to experience heavy rainfall today.

While ruling out any flood-like situation, Special Relief Commissioner (SRC), Pradeep Jena had put the district administrations on alert to monitor any adverse situation.
