**Nabrangpur:** On the auspicious occasion of 72nd Independence Day, at the district stadium, police personnel paraded in knee-deep water and people gathered to celebrate the country’s most precious freedom.
District Collector Ajit Kumar Mishra unfurled the national flag at the stadium while gracing the Independence Day celebration here.
What grabbed the eye balls was of the police personnel marching on in knee and ankle-deep water saluting the national flag. And to watch them, despite heavy rain, people at large did not let the rains deter their enthusiasm and did not let anything come in the way of showing their fathomless love for India and celebrated 72nd years of Indian independence against all odds.
The police personnel have sent the clear and loud message of positive spirit of the Odisha Police from the district. It is quite applauding that the personnel and people of the district exhibited the commendable spirit and fervour of patriotism.
Such a development has taken place amid the incessant rains that have affected many parts of Odisha, especially south Odisha region, as things have been quite dire with people affected by the flash floods.
