Baripada: Officer In Charge (OIC) of Bisoi police station in Mayurbhanj district Mini Bhoi has sustained bleeding injuries on her neck and hand after she was allegedly attacked by a detainee with a blade inside the police station. Accused Susanta Kumar Deo (52) alias Susen has been arrested and forwarded to court today.
According to reports, one Susanta Kumar Deo of Bisoi area was detained by the police on Friday (Oct 27) in connection with the theft from the donation box of a Shiva temple near Bisoi police station on October 17 night. Deo serves as a priest at the Shiva temple.
During interrogation Deo allegedly made a murderous assault on Bhoi with a blade. Though Bhoi managed to save herself, she sustained grievous injuries on her neck and hand.
Bhoi said that she is now recovering after first aid. Police have registered a separate case against Deo in this connection.
