Bhubaneswar: Restrictions have been imposed by the Puri district administration for devotees to take a holy dip at Chandrabhaga beach on the occasion of Magha Saptami.
This year, the holy festival of Magha Saptami falls on February 7, when thousands of Hindus throng Chandrabhaga beach for the holy dip in the Bay of Bengal.
However, taking into account the COVID-19 situation in the State, the district administration has restricted observance of the mass rituals at the beach. Only servitors will be allowed for rituals at the beach where Section 144 will be imposed, reports stated.
