**Puri:** On the auspicious occasion of Pausa Purnima, thousands of devotees thronged to the pilgrim city of Puri to witness the Suna Besha of Holy Trinity inside the sanctum sanctorum of the temple. On this full moon day, a special ruitual is conducted known as Pushyabishek after which the Lords will don the golden attire.
The Trinity (Jagannath, Balabhadra and Subhadra ) will be decorated with various gold ornaments during Suna Besha. The total weight of he ornaments are more than one quintal.
Suna Besha observed 5 times during a year. Generally, the Besha happens on Bijaya Dashami (in October) Kartika Purnima (November) Pausa Purnima (December)Magha Purnima (January) and Asadha Ekadashi (July). The last Besha is observed on the chariot in front of Jagannath Temple, other four Beshas are observed in temple on Ratna Singhasana.
The temple administration has made security adequate arrangements to control the influx of pilgrims on this special occasion.
