Koraput/Malkangiri: Odisha DGP Sunil Kumar Bansal on Friday reviewed the preparedness for the upcoming elections and also the strategy against left-wing extremism (LWE) both in Koraput and Malkangiri districts.
DGP, along with Special DG SAP, Director Intelligence, and IG BSF, held a meeting in Koraput with senior officers of Koraput, Rayagada, Nabarangpur, and DIG (South Western Range).
A discussion was held on holding peaceful polls amidst border disputes between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha over Kotia. Following it, the DGP left for Malkangiri.
In Malkangiri, the DGP visited Hantalguda Camp of BSF in Swabhiman Anchal and also interacted with the villagers and discussed developmental issues.
Subsequently, he held another review meeting over poll preparedness and the Maoist strategy in the district.
